The Diplomatic Council spirit – working towards a better world
The Diplomatic Council “Educational Sponsorship” program initiated by Secretary General Hang Nguyen reflects the spirit of the Diplomatic Council that everyone can make a contribution to better the world. The program is driven by the conviction that the weakest and most helpless members of society – our children – need the highest attention. DC Business Ambassador Dr. Thomas Durchlaub and Annette Habermann have become the first godparents for a girl and a boy in Sri Lanka and will finance the studies of these two orphans. Members who also wish to support vocational trainings or studies of orphans are welcome to contact the Secretariat General.
This year’s DC Global Media Innovator (GMI) was awarded to the Britisch-American company RTAd. The GMI recognises the best media innovation of the year. RTAd’s CEO Simon Ingram proudly accepted the award from DC Chairman Dieter Brockmeyer. He further received an art piece especially created for the GMI winner by famous artist Ulrike Bolenz.
Members who have been with the Diplomatic Council for more than five years were recognised with a „5 Years Membership Award“. In doing so, the Diplomatic Council acknowledges their commitment and dedication to better the world by employing their knowledge and expertise, investing their resources and funds and engaging in social good.
The musical performance was delivered by the international star pianist Albert Frantz and the renowned violinist Emily Greitzer. These two gifted and exceptional artists enchanted the guests and transported the audience to another world.
While strolling down the halls of the grand hotel, guests would obtain further details about the first book of the Diplomatic Council (Denken 4.0, translated Thinking 4.0), the upcoming DC delegation trip to Sri Lanka and the DC VIP travel services – all organized and offered by DC members.
“It was an inspiring evening full of stimulating ideas and unique people in a marvellous setting”, one of the participants stated. “I really look forward to the DC Summer Celebration which will take place in June”.
On parting, all guests received two gifts: their souvenir photos professionally taken in front of the photo wall with DC dignitaries and a farewell bag with TwentyFourSeven Cosmetics sponsored by DC Business Ambassador Sascha Zilger.
